Team BC was announced March 19 th for the 2008 National Winter Games and Burnaby was fortunate to have one of our athletes, Bridget Colvin selected. Bridget not only will be representing our local at the games in Quebec City February 25 th to March 2 nd, 2008 but also the region as she was the only athlete selected from Region 4 (the locals of Delta, Richmond and Burnaby).

Bridget will be competing in the sport of Snowshoeing and will be joining eleven other Snowshoers throughout the province to make up the Snowshoeing Team. She qualified based on a phenomenal Winter Provincial Games in Kelowna this past February. Bridget competed in 4 events, winning 2 Gold, 1 Silver and 1 Bronze for a total of 34 points. This gave Bridget an average of 8.5 points per event which was the highest of all female competitors attending the games.
